In celebration of 40 years of innovation, G-SHOCK introduces the “CLEAR REMIX” series, which offers a fresh take on their popular watch models. These remakes feature transparent and mixed materials in the band, case, dial, LCD, and buttons, allowing a glimpse into the inner workings of G-SHOCK’s shock-resistant mechanisms that have been at the heart of their watches since 1983.
G-SHOCK has earned a reputation as the most prolific watch manufacturer, known for their lifestyle, utility, and sports watches that are nearly indestructible. To mark their 40 years of proprietary technology, G-SHOCK unveils new models that pay tribute to their iconic designs. This includes the first-ever DW-5000 model released in 1983, as well as the popular DW-5600, DW-6900, and GA-2100 models, which have solidified the brand’s appeal through collaborations and limited-edition releases over the years.
One notable example from the series is the GA-2140RX-7A, an octagonal watch with a shock-resistant carbon core guard structure. This model features a combination of see-through materials on the dial, index marks, and dial ring, allowing a view of the unique face molding and internal components. It is equipped with a double LED light, Super Illuminator, world time in 31 zones, a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, and a full auto calendar. Other models in the series include the DWE-5640RX-7, which has a transparent dial and center case with a mixed-material band design, and the DW-5040RX-7, featuring a clear LCD. All models in the series are shock-resistant and offer a water resistance of 200 meters.
The collection features commemorative four-star and “Since 1983” motifs on the metal band loop and clasp, along with a 40th anniversary logo designed by Eric Haze engraved on the case back of each model. To enhance the unboxing experience, each unit is presented in a custom-designed, limited-edition gift box with G-shaped inserts.
