The Ultimate Guide to All PROTREKs — composed by Experts

From the professional outdoor gear PRO TREK for those who love nature, it is a model equipped with radio solar that uses environmentally friendly eco-materials. Uses a field composite band that uses biomass plastic. The band is resistant to cracking and discoloration, and is lightweight while maintaining durability. Sapphire glass is applied to the windshield, and blue vapor deposition is applied to the outer circumference of the glass. Bimas plastic is also used for the case and resin back cover. It is a model packed with high functionality and practicality that can be used in various scenes, with practical functions such as multiband 6 and tough solar.

I’m disappointed in Casio. A sapphire crystal makes PERFECT sense to be on an outdoor watch like a Pro-Trek, at least on the more expensive models.

But Casio’s Pro-Trek website not only does not include this PRW-61F Model, I couldn’t find on that site ANY snslog/digital Pro-Trek model that has a Sapphire Crystal. The specs on all I saw said only Mineral crystals. WHY?

I was particularly interested in the new (& relatively expensive @ $500+) models with the non-circular case shape (PRW6900YL-5, PRW6900BF-1). But, shockingly, they also show Mineral Crystal.

As I searched online for a Pro-Trek with a Sapphire Crystal, I learned that, not terribly long ago, there was a Model PRW-6000SYT-1, which also had a Sapphire Crystal (as well as a Titanium band). But I couldn’t find any reference to it ow on the Pro-Trek website.

This all makes me wonder whether Casio has decided that Pro-Treks no longer will get Sapphire Crystals, notwithstanding that these outdoor watches are precisely where the more scratch resistant Sapphire Crystals are really important!
