    What does embedding it underground or jump in deep water mean?

      To be most safe: when/if intentionally discharging the cell, be ready to bury or drop the battery into water because the rapid discharge could cause a fire. That is good advice for anyone working with Li cells, because one could catch fire during a quick discharge, have something ready in case it does catch fire.
