Upon discovering the dimensions of the upcoming GST model [41.4×42.3×11.4 mm], we couldn’t help but think of G-Steel. To put it into perspective, the previous generation GST-B600 and GST-B500 were notably larger [46.6×48.9×12.8 mm], while the GST-B100 appeared “gigantic” in comparison, measuring 58.1×53.8×14.1 mm. Surprisingly, the GST-B600 is even smaller than the GA-2100 [48.5×45.4×11.8 mm], which is considered one of the more compact G-SHOCK models, excluding the S-series. It seems the engineers have surpassed expectations by significantly reducing the size of the steel “shocks,” offering an ideal option for those with smaller wrists. With a weight of merely 60g on the strap and 135g on the steel bracelet, this watch provides optimal comfort without compromising on style.

The GMA-S2100 has undergone a significant change in terms of its case dimensions. In comparison to its predecessor, the dimensions have been reduced to 46 × 40.2 × 11.2 mm from 46.2 × 42.9 × 11.2 mm. Although the thickness of the watch could not be reduced further due to its already thin design, the width of the case has decreased by nearly 3 mm. This difference is quite noticeable, even in photographs. Interestingly, the specifications do not mention the presence of Carbon Core Guard in the case structure, which is typically included in other octagonal models. It is unclear whether this omission is related to the reduced size of the watch.
