About the Watch Design. Introducing a collaboration model between G-SHOCK, the watch that continues to drive modern culture the world over, and the world-famous jazz record label Blue Note Records. The base model is the Bluetooth® equipped G-STEEL GST-B100 chronograph. Chic basic black colouring is accented with the brand colour of Blue Note Records, creating a perfect blend of two iconic world views. The back cover of this model is stamped with the Blue Note Records brand logo inside a design in the image of record grooves. A special package also features a distinctive Blue Note Records look.
The dial at 9 o’clock has a multi-functional rotating disk that is cut to resemble the thick blades of a jet engine. Rotation of the blades reveals red colouring behind the disk, and this change in colour is used to indicate the battery level and the alarm on/off setting. The blades also rotate in the Timekeeping and Stopwatch modes to with the passage of time. A new layer guard structure houses resin cushioning parts inside the case, for a more elegant design and a better fit to the wrist. High density mounting technology makes it possible to create a module that is smaller and thinner, which also contributes to a better fit.
This watch is equipped with Bluetooth® that lets it connect with a smartphone at the press of a button, and acquire time information from an internet time server. The result is accurate timekeeping no matter where in the world you happen to be. Other functions include a solar powered battery with up to two years power reserve, high brightness LED light illumination, and dual dial World Time.

About the Watch Design. This G-STEEL variation is a new signature model that was designed under the supervision of NBA professional basketball player Rui Hachimura.
The hour marker at 8 o’clock is red, representing Hachimura’s jersey number. Also, the Japanese word for 8 is hachi, which is also part of Hachimura’s name. The button pipe of the Bluetooth® connection button at 8 o’clock and the indicator disk are also done in red. The gold IP (ion plating) of the bezel and case parts along with a Rui Hachimura logo on the band ring and package create a bold, sporty look befitting of a special model such as this. But the great-looking design of this model is only half of the story. A simple operation connects with the G-SHOCK Connected phone app for quick and easy time adjustments, simplified timer and other function settings, phone number searches and more. A high-brightness LED light enables easy reading of the display, even in the dark.
