MRG-G2000GA-1A — MRG GASSAN

About the Watch Design. We are proud to present the highly anticipated, new addition to our premium MR-G Series. MRG-2000GA-1ADR.
The MRG-G2000GA takes its inspiration from the traditional Japanese sword — known for bringing together the timeless strength and aesthetic sensibilities of Japan. It is hand-finished by a master craftsman in the world-renowned Gassan tradition of Japanese swordsmiths.
A limited production of only 300 watches will be released worldwide.
The finish of the MRG-G2000GA reflects a specialist attention to the smallest details. The case is made from recrystallised titanium, the sparkling appearance of which resembles the crystal formation of the temper line on the blade of Japanese swords. An Arc Ion Plating (AIP®)*1 treatment is then applied in the Koki-murasaki (deep purple) that is traditionally associated with nobility in Japan. The bezel is made from COBARIAN®*2 and bevelled in a manner inspired by the blade tip of a Japanese sword. The watch incorporates design elements inspired by Japanese swords — from the yasuri-me (rasp marks) on the nakago (tang) to the crystal formation of the hamon (temper line) and the kissaki (blade tip). The centre band of the MRG-G2000GA is finished in a pattern modelled after the pattern employed in the renowned Gassan tradition of swordsmiths. The pattern is applied by hand to each link by Sadanobu Gassan, who is in line to succeed the 800-year-old Gassan tradition. The second link in the band is also inscribed with the kanji character鍛, from the saying tanto hitosuji (“a singular dedication to forging”) that is espoused by the Gassan tradition.
The MRG-G2000GA features time adjustment using radio wave time-calibration signals, GPS satellite signals, and Bluetooth® to ensure accurate time keeping, reflecting time zone changes around the world and daylight savings time.
SADANOBU GASSAN
Born into the famous Gassan family of swordsmiths in 1979, Sadanobu Gassan was exposed to the world of swordmaking from a young age. In 1998, he began training with his father, Sadatoshi Gassan. In 2006, he was recognized as a swordsmith by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs.
Since that time, he has continued to challenge himself in new areas of craftsmanship that carry forth the traditions of the past, winning numerous prizes and accolades in various competitions. As the sixth in the Gassan line from Osaka, he carries the honour of the next generation of Japanese swords.
Sadanobu Gassan currently serves as a director for the All Japan Swordsmith Association.

Featuring a system that updates time data to keep accurate time anywhere in the world and boasting a handmade texture created using Tsuiki metal-hammering techniques, this stunning timepiece blends cutting edge technology with exquisite craftsmaship. The bezel and back case are finished in a deep indigo “Japan blue” that is traditionally prized in Japan while the watch band and buttons are rendered in a complimentary oboro-gin (silver-grey). Both beautiful and functional, a limited edition of only 500 watches will be sold worldwide, each featuring a serial number and ‘2017 LIMITED’ plaque at the 10 o’clock position.

MRG-G2000RJ-2A — MRG JYURYOKU MARU

About the Watch Design. From the premium MR-G collection that combines extreme toughness with sophisticated design, we introduce the MRG-G2000RJ-2ADR. The bezel is made of COBARION® , a Japan-developed cobalt base alloy that is twice as hard as stainless steel and has a shine that is equal to that of platinum. High-level cutting and polishing technology is used to carefully shape and polish each individual bezel to a level of never-before-possible hardness and elegance. The strap is made of Dura Soft Fluoro rubber, making it highly durable and comfortable to wear when worn.
This new model is designed to receive time calibration signals, GPS satellite signals, and is Bluetooth® enabled, all of which can be used to correct the current time setting for outstanding accuracy.
GPS radio-controlled solar combines CASIO’s own solar power charging system, positioning using a Global Positioning System (GPS), and reception of time calibration signals around the world.

About the Watch Design. Introducing from MR-G, the top of the G-SHOCK lineup with Bluetooth, GPS, and solar power, a new collaboration model to commemorate the 80th birthday of Bruce Lee, the late action star who is still much loved and revered today. MR-G’s unique blend of toughness and good looks is the perfect way to celebrate and foster the memory of a man whose chiseled body, handsome looks, indomitable fighting spirit, and martial arts skills make him one of a kind.
The black and yellow of the body and band of this model were inspired by the colors of Lee’s iconic track suit.
The black watch face is offset with yellow and red highlights, which are representative colors of Jeet Kune Do, a martial art form started by Bruce Lee himself. The bezel and back cover are engraved with 12 Chinese characters that state the main tenets of Jeet Kune Do: “Using no way as way. Having no limitation as limitation.” At three o’clock on the face is Bruce Lee’s signature, which is the Chinese character for dragon.
The special package of this model is also decorated with embroidered dragon images, and only 300 of these watches will be sold worldwide.
