A user of the watchuseek watch forum with nickname MORGANpl posted a strange photo, which probably shows the new G-Shock GA-B001 [rumors about which have been circulating on the net for several days]. There is no need to doubt the authenticity of the “leak”, because fan insiders are always confirmed, which means that it is already possible to draw conclusions about the new generation of the shock-resistant line.
By the way, the guys from the Design Atelier Youtube channel immediately reacted to the inside and decided to draw the future novelty on their own [since the original source is not very high quality]. It turned out quite well.
According to the source, the bezel of the GA-B001 consists of two equal parts, although it is not yet clear what advantage in strength this separation provides. We clearly see the octagonal shape of the case [octagon], round hour markers [like those of a diving watch], a digital window very similar to the GA-2100 and large buttons.
The strap and bezel may be one piece. Screws are placed around the perimeter for secure fixation with the module. Separate side screws “fasten” the two parts of the bezel, which has become more “rough” and angular compared to the 2100 series. In fact, we have something in between the compact GA-2100 and the large GA-900 in the “industrial” style. GA-B001 will definitely be equipped with Bluetooth, but solar power is a big question. At first, there will be four color options for the GA-B001 – black, red, translucent black with red, and translucent blue. There is no more information yet, so we keep our finger on the pulse and wait for the official release in the near future.
