Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced the upcoming release of two new models in April as variations of their popular “G-SHOCK” line. These models feature a full metal design with a blue color accent on the dial. The prices for the models are 88,000 yen for the GM-B2100AD and 84,700 yen for the GMW-B5000D.
One of the models, the GM-B2100AD, showcases a vibrant blue color applied to the entire dial, while the other model, the “GMW-B5000D”, features the blue color on the outer periphery of the face. The metallic color tone, achieved through a special vapor deposition process, complements the silver color of the full metal exterior. The GM-B2100AD has an analog display with a two-panel dial, and the sub-dials and LCD part have unique finishes. The indexes and small hands are also designed to harmonize with the metal exterior. Both models have a shock-resistant structure with fine resin cushioning material sandwiched between the case and bezel. The case and bezel are meticulously crafted through forging, cutting, and polishing techniques.
The GM-B2100AD is a Bluetooth solar model that can be linked with the smartphone app “CASIO WATCHES” via Bluetooth. It boasts a shock-resistant construction and is water resistant up to 20 ATM. Additionally, it comes equipped with features such as world time, a 1/100 second stopwatch, timer, time alarm, and double LED light functions. The dimensions of the watch are 49.8 x 44.4 x 12.8 mm, and it weighs approximately 165 g.
On the other hand, the GMW-B5000D is a Bluetooth radio solar model that can adjust the time using radio waves. Like the “GM-B2100AD”, it can also be connected to the “CASIO WATCHES” app via Bluetooth. It shares similar features with the GM-B2100AD, including shock-resistant construction, water resistance up to 20 ATM, world time, a 1/100 second stopwatch, timer, time alarm, and dual auto ED backlight functions. The dimensions of this model are 49.3 x 43.2 x 13mm, and it weighs approximately 167g.
