[G-SHOCK 2024] GMA-P2100IT, GMA-P2100ZY and pop-group ITZY

The GMA-P2100 series is set to replace the GMA-S2100 in the women’s G-SHOCK lineup. South Korean music group ITZY has unveiled their own color variations for this model. Although this female quintet is more well-known in the Asian region, the new color options present an opportunity to expand the model range with intriguing color variants.

The hour indexes feature multicolored inserts with luminescent coating, a nod to the group’s fondness for ring lights. The band’s name is prominently displayed in large letters at the center of the dial, with the ITZY engraving visible on the back of the watch.

The GMA-P2100IT boasts a matte finish case and strap in white and pale pink, while the GMA-P2100ZY is made of a translucent material, often referred to as “jelly”. Have you noticed the endings of the IT and ZY indices on the different models? This could be a hint to buy all three models in the collection, or it may hold a traditional Japanese symbolism.

Notably, the GMA-P2100IT is made of bioplastic, like the basic case versions, while the GMA-P2100ZY is constructed from artificial rubber, as the bioplastic technology does not yet allow for transparency. The watches are presented in a designer box featuring printed autographs of all ITZY group members.

It’s worth mentioning that the GMA-P2100 is slightly larger than the GMA-S2100, measuring 46×40.2×11.2mm vs 46.2×42.9×11.2mm. The strap is also about 9mm shorter, making it an ideal G-SHOCK for even the slimmest woman’s wrist.

Currently, the GMA-P2100 x ITZY is only announced in Asia and is priced at JPY19,800 (approximately $130 at current exchange rates).
