[G-SHOCK 2024] GST-B600 — Small, Thin and Light G-STEEL

In February, Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will unveil three new additions to its G-SHOCK watch brand. These new releases belong to the G-STEEL series and feature a combination of metal components. Price-wise, they range from 44,000 yen to 51,700 yen.

These upcoming watches are based on an analog display and boast a smaller, thinner, and lighter design. They join the G-STEEL series, which is known for its stylish metal parts and elegant shapes. The smallest model in this series has a case diameter of 42.3mm, a thickness of 11.4mm, and weighs approximately 60g for the rubber band version and around 135g for the metal bracelet variant.

To ensure durability, the main body of the watch is protected by a fine resin case. Despite their compact size, these watches are equipped with solar power generation and Bluetooth connectivity. The G-STEEL construction makes them comfortable to wear, despite their metal composition.

The stainless steel bezel gives the watch a solid appearance with its flat surface. The bezel is crafted using a two-piece structure, with each part meticulously polished using various techniques like hairline, honing, and mirror finishes. The dial features large indexes, hour and minute hands, and an innovative liquid crystal layout, creating a three-dimensional structure that exudes depth and power. The GST-B600A-1A6 edition boasts a purple dial and black IP treatment on the bezel parts.

These watches are designed to withstand shocks and are water-resistant up to 20 ATM. They come equipped with solar power generation, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, and can be controlled using the CASIO WATCHES smartphone app. Additional features include world time, stopwatch, timer, time alarm, and double LED light functions. The dimensions of the watches are 41.4 x 42.3 x 11.4mm, and they weigh approximately 60g (135g for the metal bracelet version).
