In celebration of G-SHOCK’s 40th anniversary, a special edition model has been created to honor the original color scheme of the “G Presents Lovers Collection.” This collection was a limited edition set given to couples during Christmas. The base models chosen for this commemorative edition are the DW-5600 (G-SHOCK) and BGD-565 (BABY-G), both featuring the beloved square design.
The color scheme used in the initial release of the Lovers Collection back in 1996 has been faithfully reproduced, showcasing a refreshing combination of white and navy that beautifully captures the pure emotions shared between lovers.
The band of the watch has been designed with a cross pattern, a tribute to the very first model in the collection. It is adorned with an embroidered depiction of an “angel” and a “devil,” symbolizing the irresistible attraction between opposites in love. With just a press of the light button, the silhouette of an “angel” and a “devil” magically appear on each watch, adding a touch of enchantment.
The back cover also bears engravings of angels and devils, along with the year 2023, while the packaging has been thoughtfully designed to evoke the essence of the original version.
