Official EQB-900 Series Description. Representative of the latest generation of “smart” Edifice with Bluetooth-synchronization. The whole charm of the model is the wireless data exchange with a smartphone – all the watch functions are configured directly from the phone screen in a special application. Engineers did a good job on the size of the case and achieved a significant reduction – more than 2 mm compared to other EQB models. The bracelet consists of solid cast links – this design is stronger and looks more solid than usual. Another feature of the series is the presence of LED dial illumination. The world time function works for more than 300 cities around the world, and the time of the second time zone is displayed in the window at 6 o’clock. The watch has a solar battery, which means it does not require periodic replacement.

PROs
+ the design of the face & colors is great
+ reasonable size
+ a light – great for night driving
+ the timer is particularly cool – watching the second hand tick BACKWARDS is kind of… psychedelic
+ is also very easy to read, particularly elapsed minutes
CONs
– this does eat power faster than many other solar chronos
– the smartphone link app is bad

Enjoy our Edifice EQB-900 Watch Review
The window at the 9 o’clock position in the form of the letter E [I don’t know what else it looks like], which is responsible for displaying the battery charge and status of the Bluetooth connection, did not receive its own arrow, apparently due to the narrowing of the dial. But it’s even better, I would say, more futuristic [in the spirit of the Japanese]. The second hand, which indicates the necessary divisions, acts as an assistant. Checking the battery charge was not so difficult – hold down the upper left button for 2 seconds, and then press the lower right button. Bottom line – the second quickly moved to a position somewhere between the letters E [empty] and F [full]. With the charge level, everything is fine, move on. Read Full Review →

These new additions to the EDIFICE metal lineup feature chronograph timekeeping along with advanced functions for linking with your smartphone. These EQB-900 Series delivers the same accurate timekeeping, multi-functionality, and simple operation as EDIFICE smartphone link series models of the past, along with two additional new features.
The first new feature is a high-brightness LED light source between 6 and 7 o’clock, which brightly illuminates the face for easy reading both night and day.
The second feature is a compact, lightweight configuration. The case width and thickness are the smallest of all the EDIFICE smartphone link models. The cases of these models are 2.3 mm smaller in diameter, 2.1 mm thinner, and approximately 25% lighter than the EQB-500D, which was the first EDIFICE smartphone link model. Despite the smaller size, the visual impact of the hour markers and dials have been enhanced to create bold designs.

Bold index. An edgy, striking large index is laid out on the dial. Robust modeling with straight lines and basic tones evokes a strong presence.
Forged stainless-steel case. After forging and heat treatment of the stainless-steel material, precision machining is conducted to complete the boldly designed case form.
Polished finishing. Polish finishing by the hands of skilled craftsmen produces beautiful mirror surfaces on the forge-cast stainless-steel case.
Tough Solar. This original solar power system transforms even weak light from sources such as fluorescent lamps into ample energy to provide stable operation of various high-load functions.
Smartphone Link. Linking the watch to a smartphone provides access to the correct time, not only in the current location but over 300 cities around the world. Alarm setting and control over various other functions from the smartphone enhance operability to an unprecedented high level.
Dual Dial World Time. A dial on the face of the watch always shows the current time in another zone whenever you need it. A sub-dial also indicates a.m. or p.m. at a glance. You can use the smartphone app to select from among 300 cities.
LED Light (Super Illuminator). A high-brightness LED illuminates the dial with bright light to improve visibility remarkably at night and in dimly lit environments.
