The Ultimate Guide to All G-SHOCKs — composed by Experts
On January 19th, Casio Computer will introduce a brand-new addition to their popular G-SHOCK RANGEMAN collection called the GPR-H1000. This model features a heart rate sensor and GPS functionality, and it will be available in two colors: black and yellow. The price for this innovative timepiece is set at 66,000 yen.
The new GPR-H1000 from RANGEMAN boasts a triple sensor that can accurately measure direction, atmospheric pressure/altitude, and temperature. Designed to showcase its true value in survival scenarios, this watch also comes with a cutting-edge high-contrast, high-resolution MIP liquid crystal.
In addition to its dust- and mud-proof body and triple sensors, the GPR-H1000 is equipped with six additional sensors. These include an optical sensor for heart rate monitoring, an acceleration sensor to track activity levels such as steps taken, and a gyro sensor to assist with orientation correction and location acquisition. With its GPS functionality, this watch can even monitor heart rate and blood oxygen levels during demanding physical activities in challenging environments.
Furthermore, this watch supports nine different types of activity measurements, including trekking and field activities. While trekking, users can conveniently view their heart rate, distance traveled, altitude, climbing speed, and more. Additionally, the GPR-H1000 provides a training analysis feature that allows users to check their cardio load status. It also offers sleep measurement capabilities, displaying recovery status, score, and other life logs such as step count.
Moreover, this watch includes functions to measure direction, atmospheric pressure/altitude, and temperature. Users can enjoy features like a tide graph (displayed in three stages), world time, stopwatch, timer, time alarm, fully automatic calendar, and LED backlight.
The main body of the GPR-H1000 is durable and resistant to shocks, dust, and mud. It is also water-resistant up to 20 ATM. The case, bezel, and band are made using biomass plastic, contributing to its eco-friendly design. The watch supports GPS radio wave reception for location and time information and can be connected to smartphones via Bluetooth. Notably, it is equipped with a USB-rechargeable battery and can also be powered by solar energy.
When utilizing the activity functions such as GPS and heart rate monitoring, the battery can last for approximately 14 hours on HIGH mode, 16 hours on NORMAL mode, and 19 hours on LONG mode. In watch mode with heart rate measurement turned off, the battery can last for about 2 months, and in power-saving mode, it can last for approximately 23 months.
The dimensions of the GPR-H1000 are 60.6 x 53.2 x 20.3 mm, and it weighs approximately 92 g.
