What we don’t like in GG-B100 *by casiofanmag editors with 10+ years of experience writing about CASIO watches
No Solar Power (Tough Solar). 2 years on CR2025 (but it is not a big deal to change it)
No atomic timekeeping (but you have Bluetooth adjustments instead)
For large wrists as the watch is quite big (55.4 × 51.3 × 19.4 mm vs 48.9 × 42.8 × 13.4 mm in DW-5600)
Some functions (log function, etc) are pretty useless as the watch has to be connected (Bluetooth) to your smartphone
The Lume is only on the hands, not the hour markers
The protrek prt-b50 has the same module and features but is more affordable
The buttons can really dig into your hand when you bend it up
The band could be a bit more supple

About the Watch in Short. The latest representative of the dirt-resistant direction of the G-Shock Mudmaster. The special design of the case and buttons does not allow dust, dirt and other small particles to get inside the watch, and the protective concept of Carbon Core Guard takes the impact resistance of the case to a whole new level, thanks to the presence of carbon parts, which also make the watch easier. Bezel is a “sandwich” of three layers – polyurethane, carbon, polyurethane. Buttons no longer need external protection, so they look more aesthetically pleasing and modern. The back cover consists of two parts – fiberglass and steel for greater reliability during mechanical stress. The quad-sensor [barometer / altimeter, thermometer, digital compass and pedometer] will become a reliable assistant even in the most severe environmental conditions. Thanks to Bluetooth synchronization, you can not only adjust the time in automatic mode and configure the clock functions, but also record the motion path along with the steps taken, record the points passed on the map in the G-Shock Connected application and calculate the calories burned taking into account the steps taken and the height, which has been overcome. The basic features remained unchanged – world time for 300 cities [in synchronization mode], stopwatch for 24 hours, timer, alarms, calendar.

Official Casio Description. From the MASTER OF G Series MUDMASTER, the watch that is designed and engineered to withstand rough land environments, come carbon resin models that incorporate a new type of structure.
The case is made of high-rigidity carbon material to protect against damage and deformation due to impact and other rough treatment, while metal button pipes ensure a tighter seal against the external environment. A filter further protects against the invasion of mud, for the high level of dust and mud resistance required when in severe environments. In addition, the dual back cover consists of a stainless steel panel back and an outer cover made of shock resistant fine resin embedded with glass fibers.
The bezel is formed of three layers of fine resin with carbon fiber inserts. The top layer is transparent, resulting in a bezel that shows the embedded carbon material.
